This article explains how to configure AI enabled fields.
Note
To configure and use AI fields, AI needs to be enabled. See Setup OnePlan AI (Sofia) for instructions.
The September 2024 release introduced AI enabled fields, which gives users the ability to have AI populate fields in the Plan Details form given a prompt.
To configure plan fields to be AI enabled:
Note
Only Text, Multi-Line Text, Choice, or Date fields can be AI enabled.
-
Click on the AI tab in the field configuration form.
-
Check the Enabled check box. Once checked, a couple more settings will become available.
-
If you want to use the field for plan creation, meaning the AI will populate the field with content on plan creation, check the Use for Plan Creation check box.
-
If you want the AI to have a standard prompt to use to populate the field, enter the prompt into the Custom AI Prompt field. This will provide the AI even more context when generating content for the field.
-
Click Save.
On the front-end, these fields will display a Sofia icon that users can click to utilize AI for the field.
As you begin to enable AI for fields in your OnePlan environment, keep in mind that the OnePlan AI (as with all AI's) have processing limits. OnePlan recommends that you only enable AI on fields that you think you will get the greatest benefit.
There are no strict limits on the number of fields where you can enable AI, but keep in mind how much data the AI will need to process given the field type. For example, multi-line text fields will require a lot more data to be processed than a choice field.
As you and your team begin utilizing AI enabled fields, make note of any processing limits you hit or performance issues that may occur and adjust your AI fields accordingly.
