OnePlan Report Pack Files - Portfolio Planning Solution

This article contains the template PowerBI report files for OnePlan. The configuration of these attached reports aligns to the pre-configured Portfolio Planning solution.

Download the report template files (.pbit) to your local machine. Then, refer to the other articles in this chapter for instructions how to update the data source to your OnePlan Group and deploy the reports to Power BI: How do I deploy OnePlan reports?

Install the Report Packs

First, download the report template files (.pbit) from this article to your local machine.

Then, refer toDeploy OnePlan Reportsfor instructions how to update the data source to your OnePlan Group and deploy the reports to Power BI.

Set Up the Report Dashboards

Finally, setup the report dashboards for the desired areas in OnePlan following the specific instructions below.

Set Up the Ideas Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Ideas area in OnePlan > Dashboard.

  3. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Area_Level.png to embed the report.
  4. Click Add Title Add_Title_Button_Area_Level.png. The Add Title form will open. Add_Title_Form.png
  5. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.
    • Full Page: Check the check box to make the embedded report full page.

  6. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  7. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Set Up the Key Results Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Key Results Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Strategy area in OnePlan. Then select a Key Result from the List view. 
  3. In the Key Result, go to Reporting > Dashboard.

  4. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Plan_Level.png to embed the report.
  5. Click Add Title Add_Title_Plan_Level.png . The Add Title form will open.

  6. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.
    • Full Page: Check the check box to make the embedded report full page.

  7. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  8. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Note

You only need to set up the Key Results Report Pack for one Key Result. The report will then be available for all Key Results in your environment. 

Set Up the Objectives Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Objective Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Strategy area in OnePlan. Then select an Objective from the List view.
  3. In the Objective, go to Reporting > Dashboard.

  4. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Plan_Level.png to embed the report.
  5. Click Add Title Add_Title_Plan_Level.png. The Add Title form will open.

  6. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.

  7. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  8. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Note

You only need to set up the Objectives Report Pack for one Objective. The report will then be available for all Objectives in your environment. 

Set Up the Strategy Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Objective Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Strategy area in OnePlan > Dashboard.

  3. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Area_Level.png to embed the report.
  4. Click Add Title Add_Title_Button_Area_Level.png. The Add Title form will open.Add_Title_Form.png
  5. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.
    • Full Page: Check the check box to make the embedded report full page.

  6. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  7. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Set Up the Portfolio Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Objective Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Portfolio area in OnePlan > Dashboard.

  3. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Area_Level.png to embed the report.
  4. Click Add Title Add_Title_Button_Area_Level.png. The Add Title form will open.Add_Title_Form.png
  5. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.
    • Full Page: Check the check box to make the embedded report full page.

  6. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  7. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Set Up the Programs Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Key Results Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Portfolio area in OnePlan. Then select a Program from the List view. 
  3. In the Key Result, go to Reporting > Dashboard.

  4. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Plan_Level.png to embed the report.
  5. Click Add Title Add_Title_Plan_Level.png. The Add Title form will open.

  6. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.
    • Full Page: Check the check box to make the embedded report full page.

  7. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  8. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Note

You only need to set up the Programs Report Pack for one Program. The report will then be available for all Programs in your environment. 

Set Up the Plans Report Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Key Results Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the My Portfolio area in OnePlan. Then select a Plan (either Project or Epic) from the List view. 
  3. In the Plan, go to Reporting > Dashboard.

  4. Click the Edit Dashboard button Edit_Dashboard_Plan_Level.png to embed the report.
  5. Click Add Title . The Add Title form will open.

  6. Select PowerBI. The Add Report form will open.
    • Title Name: Enter a name for your embedded report. 
    • Report URL: Paste the PowerBI embed URL.
    • Full Page: Check the check box to make the embedded report full page.

  7. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 
  8. Adjust the report frame as desired. Then click Save. 

Note

You only need to set up the Plans Report Pack for one Plan. The report will then be available for all Plans in your environment. 

Set Up the Resources Report Dashboard

Note

You need to have Admin privileges to setup the Resources Report Dashboard.

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Resources Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2.  In OnePlan, click the Settings icon to access the Admin pages.
  3. Then go to Resource Plan > Reporting.
  4. Paste the PowerBI embed URL into the Power BI Report URL field.

Set Up the Timesheet Report Dashboard

Note

You need to have Admin privileges to setup the Timesheet Report Dashboard.

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Timesheet Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2.  In OnePlan, click the Settings icon to access the Admin pages.
  3. Then go to Time Plan > Reporting.
  4. Paste the PowerBI embed URL into the Power BI Report URL field.
