Set up the Reporting Dashboard

  • Updated

This article explains how to enable and configure the reporting dashboards for OnePlan. This requires the app 'Dashboards' is installed. The dashboards are not managed in the Admin pages, but rather in the Plans Dashboard and the Portfolio Dashboard pages.

Publish OnePlan Report to Power BI

You must first publish the OnePlan reports to Power BI.

Save the Embed URL for Portfolio Dashboard

Save the Embed URL for the published report. You will be prompted for this URL in a later step.

Save the Embed URL for One Item Dashboard

For the Plan Dashboard, use the "One Item Dashboard" report, as it has a filter for PlanID. Or, if using a different report, be sure there is a filter for PlanID added to that report. The Plan Dashboard dynamically looks for the PlanID, so the dashboard page filters only for that Plan you are viewing.

Save the Embed URL for the published report. You will be prompted for this URL in a later step.

Configure the Plan Dashboard

The Plan Dashboard page is for reporting on a single plan - the plan which page you're viewing.

  1. Go to a single plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  2. Give your reporting tab a name, and paste the Power BI URL from Publish OnePlan Report to Power BI.
  3. Click Add. OnePlan will add a tab to your Dashboard with the Power BI Report embedded.

Edit or Delete the Dashboard Tabs

If you would like to swap out a Power BI report in one of the Dashboard tabs, rename a tab, or delete a tab:
  1. Go to the reporting Dashboard, either at the portfolio or plan-level.
  2. Go to the tab you would like to edit or remove.
  3. Click the Edit Dashboard icon. The Edit Tab form will open.
  4. From the Edit Tab form, you can update the tab Name, or replace the URL for the Power BI report. If you update either of these attributes, click Save to retain your changes.
You can also click Delete to remove the tab altogether.
