Authentication Types for your OneConnect Group
To view and edit your Authentication Type and Allowed Authentication options, please navigate to the Settings dropdown, and click on the Settings option. Beneath the Group Options are the relevant fields. Authentication type has two available options: Office 365 Strict and Multi-Authentication.
Office 365 Strict
This is the default authentication type for OneConnect environments. This option only allows access to OneConnect through the clients Microsoft tenant. If this option is selected, then the Allowed Authentication field will not be visible on the Settings page.
Multi-Authentication
To enable the multi-authentication authentication type, click on the Authentication Type dropdown and select Multi-Authentication. When this value is selected, the Allowed Authentications dropdown will appear, and as a user, you can alter what types of authentications to the OneConnect group are allowed. Allowed authentication has two available options: Forms and Office 365.
Note: External users within your Microsoft Entra Id will not be able to access OneConnect if this option is enabled.
Forms
The forms option is a native OnePlan account that users can create and use to log into OnePlan and OneConnect. This can be any email (i.e., Gmail emails can be used).
Office 365
You can log in from any 365 tenant. So long as you have added the user. That email address will be sent a URL to access the OneConnect group.
Once the desired authentication settings have been selected, click Apply.
