Direct Answer: How to Use Comments in OnePlan

To use Comments in OnePlan, open the Comments panel on any plan, task, or timesheet item you have access to, then type your message and select Send. From there you can edit or delete your own comments, reply within threads, and use @mentions to bring specific people into the conversation.

What This Article Covers: Comments

This article covers where to find comments throughout OnePlan, how to add, edit, and reply to them, how to use @mentions and rich text formatting, and how comment notifications work.

What you will accomplish
After reading this article, you will know how to: add comments | edit or delete your own comments | use @mentions | reply within threaded conversations | navigate the Comments panel | manage comment notifications | maintain comment threads effectively

Before You Begin: Comments

  •

All OnePlan users can add and view comments in areas they have access to.

  •

Global Administrators can delete or remove any comment for governance or cleanup. See OnePlan Global User Permissions.

  •

You will need access to the plan, task, or timesheet item you want to comment on. This includes users added to a comment thread and users with Owner or Manager permissions at the global or plan level — see Share Your OnePlan Environment with the Share with Link for how sharing affects access.

Why This Matters: Comments

Keeping Discussions Tied to the Work

The OnePlan Comments feature helps teams communicate efficiently by keeping discussions attached directly to the plans, tasks, and timesheet items they reference, instead of scattered across email or chat.

Staying in the Loop

Threaded replies, @mentions, and focused thread views make it easy to follow conversations and pull the right people into a discussion, while comment notifications make sure the people who need to see a comment are alerted through the Notifications inbox.

Step-by-Step: Using Comments in OnePlan

  •

  •

Portfolio — Use the contextual menu on any plan and choose Comments.

  •

Within a Plan — Click the Comments icon next to the plan name.

  •

Global Search, Recent Plans, or Favorite Plans — Open the menu for a plan and choose Comments.
