This integration aims to synchronize data between OnePlan and Asana. In Asana, Projects are brought into OnePlan as plans, and all sections with list items (tasks) are brought into the work plan Schedule. Conversely, the reverse process is also facilitated, with any Scheduled tasks in the OnePlan Work Plan seamlessly becoming tasks in Asana.
OnePlan
To complete the OnePlan setup, you need to be an admin (user with Owner permissions) in OnePlan.
- Log into your OnePlan group using your OnePlan login credentials.
- Access the Admin pages by clicking on the settings (gear) icon at the top right of the browser.
- Navigate to the Integration section in the left-hand navigation panel.
- Next to the Authentication Keys section click the + Add Key button.
- Provide a descriptive name or title for the Authentication Key to denote its purpose, then click ADD.
- Store the OnePlan group name and the Authentication Key securely. This grants access to your OnePlan group for any program. Please note that the key will no longer be visible after the page is refreshed.
Note: It's recommended to generate a new authentication key for every integration and assign a descriptive name to each key, enabling clear association with its corresponding integration. This practice enhances security, simplifies management, and facilitates easier tracking and troubleshooting.
Asana Setup
Generate a Personal API Token
To generate a Personal API Token in Asana, the account needs to have access to the Asana environment. We recommend the account generating the Personal API Token be treated as a Service Account, as the integration will fail should the user no longer be part of the Asana environment.
- Log into Asana.
- Navigate to https://app.asana.com/0/my-apps.
- Click Create new token. A new window will appear.
- Give the API Token a unique Name.
- Check I agree to the Asana API Terms.
- Click Create Token.
- The second field is called Token, click Copy.
- Click Done.
Note: Regenerating a Personal API Token will break the integration. The new token will have to be updated in the integration configuration.
Finding your Project Ids
To locate the Project Id that you wish to use as a template for the fields to sync. If no project Id is listed, only the first 25 projects will be queried from the organization for the list of possible fields to sync.

- Go to the URL, the Id will be at the end: https://app.asana.com/0/1200240071476988/1205110117510486
