Microsoft Entra ID Integration

  • Updated

This integration with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) can automatically load user properties into OnePlan. These properties are mapped to resource fields in OnePlan, streamlining user management and ensuring resource data stays up to date.

Use Cases

The Entra ID integration has the following most popular use cases:

Automated Resource Onboarding

  • Use Case: When a new employee is added to Microsoft Entra ID, their user properties (e.g., name, department, job title, email) are automatically synced to OnePlan as a new resource.
  • Value: Eliminates manual entry of new resources into OnePlan, saving time and reducing errors during onboarding.

Consistent Resource Data Across Systems

  • Use Case: A user's role or department changes in Microsoft Entra ID. These updates are automatically reflected in OnePlan, ensuring that resource data remains accurate and aligned across systems.
  • Value: Maintains data integrity and consistency between the identity provider and OnePlan without requiring manual updates.

Features

The Entra ID integration supports the following features:

  • Import user data into OnePlan as resource fields.
  • On-premises (Active Directory) extension attributes
  • Automatic data sync via scheduled jobs.
  • Filter what data to sync.
  • Choose from different OneConnect subscription levels to match your needs.
