OnePlan Report Packs for Platform, Adaptive Project Portfolio Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, Professional Service Automation, Product Portfolio Management, and Strategic Execution Management Solution Templates Version 04.25.25 and Newer

This article contains pre-built PowerBI report pack files for use in OnePlan. The configuration of these attached reports aligns to the pre-configured OnePlan Platform, Strategic Portfolio Management, Adaptive Project Portfolio Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, Professional Service Automation, Product Portfolio Management, and Collaborative Work Management OnePlan templates/solutions. See OnePlan Solutions for more information on these different pre-configured templates.

Step 1: Download the Report Pack Files

Start by downloading the appropriate .pbit report pack files from this article to your local machine.

Make sure to:

  • Confirm that the report pack matches the version and type of your OnePlan group template.
  • Select the correct report pack type based on the level and area you want to report on.

Step 1a: Confirm Your OnePlan Group Template Type and Version

Locate Group Template and Version

Note

You must have Administrator/Owner privileges to access the Group Template and Version information.

  1. Click on the Settings icon in the OnePlan header to access the site configuration.
  2. Go to General > Group.
    • The Template Name field shows which OnePlan solution template was used to create your group.
    • The Template Version field shows what version of the solution template is used.

Group Template Version Requirements

The report pack templates in this article are designed to work with OnePlan solution templates version 04.25.25 or newer.

If your site template version is older than 04.25.25, the report templates in this article will not work for your site. Depending on the template used in your OnePlan group, see OnePlan Report Pack for Strategic Portfolio Management Template for Version 05.03.2024 and Older, OnePlan Report Pack Files - Portfolio Planning Solution for Version 05.03.2024 and Older, or OnePlan Report Pack Files - Professional Services Automation for Version 05.03.2024 and Older for the correct files.

Step 1b: Confirm Which Type of Report Packs You Want to Download

Note that the report pack files are categorized into Dashboards and Summaries.

  • Dashboards are used at the highest, overarching level—such as for a portfolio or product line. They provide a broad, top-level view of key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Summaries, on the other hand, are used at lower levels—like epics, engagements, or individual projects. These reports offer more detailed, focused insights specific to those components.

Step 2: Deploy OnePlan Reports to Power BI

Next, refer to Deploy OnePlan Reports for instructions how to update the report data source to your OnePlan Group and deploy the reports to Power BI.

Step 3: Set Up the Reports in OnePlan

Finally, set up the Dashboards and Summaries in your OnePlan site. The sections below provide specific instructions on setting up the attached reports in the corresponding locations throughout OnePlan.

Dashboard-level Report Packs

Set Up the Accounts Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Accounts Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Professional Services area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Business Capabilities Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Business Capabilities Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Applications area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Innovation Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Innovation Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Innovations area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Portfolio Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Portfolio Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Enterprise Portfolios area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Product Line Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Product Line Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Product Development area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Product Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Product Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Product Development area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Resource Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Resource Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. In OnePlan, click on the Settings gear to access the OnePlan configuration pages.
  3. Go to Resource Plan > Reporting.
  4. Paste the Power BI embed URL into the Power BI Report URL field. 

Set Up the Strategy Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Strategy Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. Go to the Strategy area in OnePlan > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Timesheet Report Pack Dashboard

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Resource Report Pack Dashboard from PowerBI.
  2. In OnePlan, click on the Settings gear to access the OnePlan configuration pages.
  3. Go to Time Plan > Reporting.
  4. Paste the Power BI embed URL into the Power BI Report URL field. 

Summary-level Report Packs

Set Up the Application Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Application Report Pack Summary from Power BI.
  2. Open an Application plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Business Capabilities Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open a Business Capabilities plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 

    Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  4. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Engagement Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open an Engagement plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Epic Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open an Epic plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Key Results Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open a Key Results plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Objective Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open an Objective plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Product Line Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open a Product Line plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Product Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open a Product plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Program Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open a Program plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame. 

Set Up the Project Plan Report Pack Summary

  1. Get the Embed URL for the Idea Report Pack from PowerBI.
  2. Open a Project plan > Reporting > Dashboard.
  3. Click New > Dashboard. The Add Dashboard Tab form will open. 
  4. Complete the Add Dashboard Tab form.
    • Name: Enter a name for the Dashboard Tab.
    • Tab Type: Select Power BI.
    • URL: Paste the Power BI embed URL.
  5. Click Add. The report will load into the dashboard frame.
