Purpose

This article explains how to configure the Files app for your Plans in OnePlan

Requirements

  • Global Permissions = Administrator
  • Access to the OnePlan Backend Configuration
  • Access to the Plan Type you want to configure

Background

The new Files App centralizes document access for each plan. Plan managers can add file links to documents stored anywhere, and when connected to Microsoft Teams can browse plan-specific Teams folders, add files and folders, and open items with a single click. Continuous Microsoft Teams membership sync ensures the right people have access.

  • Streamlined Workflows: Reduce context switching and speed up file management.
  • Add Plan Files Links: Track files stored in any repository.
  • Manage Microsoft Teams content: Create folders or upload new files from the plan without leaving the app.
  • One‑Click Open to SharePoint Launch documents and libraries instantly for fast access.
  • Continuous Teams Sync: Keeps plan membership aligned with Teams for consistent access.

  1. Go to the Details in a plan of the desired Plan Type (e.g. Project, Program).
Because available planning modules are tied to a Plan Type (e.g., Project, Program), you must open a plan of that type to access its configuration.
