Project Online and Microsoft Planner

Important Notice: Project Online Retirement

Microsoft has announced that Project Online will no longer function after September 30, 2026.

While our Project Online integrations will continue to be supported until that date, we strongly recommend that you do not install any new Project Online integrations going forward.

To ensure continuity and access to modern capabilities, we encourage you to consider OnePlan as an excellent replacement for Project Online. OnePlan offers robust project and portfolio management features designed to meet your evolving needs.

 

This integration allows user to synchronize Projects from Project Online to Microsoft Planner plans. When doing so, you can choose to sync tasks from Project Online to the Microsoft Planner or not. It will also bring back tasks and task updates from Microsoft Planner to Project Online.

Required: Admin consent/permission to access

Capabilities

  • Synchronizing Projects from Project Online to Microsoft Planner (Projects -> Plans)
  • Synchronizing Tasks from Microsoft Planner to Project Online (Tasks <-> Tasks)

All of these operations are run by clicking the Microsoft Planner button in Project Online.
