Disaster recovery for OnePlan is handled by Microsoft as we use Azure services (not servers) to host OnePlan. Data is geo-replicated in real time as data is added / updated.

Azure helps to avoid potential disasters and quickly recover if the organization does get hit by disaster. Azure offers resiliency for cloud-based applications and data by providing for business continuity in the following ways:

  • High availability: Azure's cloud based systems are consistently operational over long periods of time. Azure uptime, expressed as a rolling 12 month average to June 2019, was 99.996%, or approximately 26 minutes of downtime per year.

  • Disaster recovery: All data is geo-replicated to Azure's data centers as needed. If one data center were to go down, the data is backed up to another data center.
