Configure Details Process Flow Steps

  • Updated

This article explains how to manage the Process Flow on the Plan Details page in OnePlan. This requires the Plan Details App be installed.

Go to the Admin pages, select Plan Details in the navigation.

Select Plan Type

On the Plan Details setting page, expand the Forms topic heading.

If multiple plan types are in use, each plan type may have differently configured details pages. Select the desired plan type to configure.

Edit Step Tabs

Click the Edit icon for a step and go to the General tab. Select which tabs to show along the top of the plan. Select none, one, or multiple by clicking to select and deselect. Then click Save.

A use case for this could be the following scenario:

When a new plan is in the Create step, perhaps only the Details, Financials and Resource Plan tabs will show. Then, in the Review step, show the Dashboard tab as well. Then, when the plan moves into the Plan step, the Work Plan List and/or Work Plan Board tabs could also be added. This is just an example. Your organization may show some or all tabs for all steps, or whatever is best applicable to your process and use case.

Edit Step Fields

Click the Edit icon for the desired step and go to the Fields tab. Using this tab, you can set fields in the Plan Details form to be hidden, read only, or required based on the step you are in.

Simply check the check box to set a field as hidden, read only, or required. Then click Save.

For example, in the Initiation step, the Business Case field is required and editable, but once the process flow moves onto the Execution step, the field becomes read only.

Note

You need to configure field behavior at each process stage. The settings do not carry over from one stage to another automatically.
