This article explains how to configure the calendar formatting and time periods for the Financial Planner.
The Financial Planner calendar settings are found in the Admin pages > Financial Plan > Calendars.
By default, the Financial Plan will use a "Standard" calendar, running from January to December.
Here is an example of the Financial Plan with a standard calendar starting in January.
If you would like to leverage a simple 12-month fiscal calendar beginning in a month that is not January, you can easily configure it:

Click into the Calendar Type menu and select Fiscal Calendar.

Click into the Start Month menu and select the month you would like your fiscal year to begin (e.g. April).

If you would like Financial Plan calendar to start on the selected Start Month, check the Start Year On Month checkbox.
Here is an example of the Financial Plan with a fiscal calednar starting in April.
Organizations can also define planning periods that start and end on any day. These periods can represent fiscal periods, agile release cycles, or any custom timeframes needed to align planning and reporting with business rhythms.
Note
Financial data must be configured to be Daily to configure custom planning periods. If you notice that the Custom Periods settings are not available, reach out to a OnePlan representative to help you convert financials to Daily.
To configure custom financial planning periods:

Under the Custom Periods heading, cick Add Categories (+). The Add New Category form will open.

Enter a name for the new category and click Save. The new category will be added to the list under the Custom Periods heading.
Note
You can create multiple categories containing different planning periods.

Click the Periods icon
to configure the periods for the category.

Click Add Period. The Add Period form will open.

Enter a Period Name.

Select the Start date for the planning period.

Select the End date for the planning period.

Click Add.

Repeat steps 4-8 until you have all of the planning periods required for the given category.
Once your custom categories and periods are configured, you can apply them to your Financial Plans. To do this:

Go to the OnePlan front end, and open a FInancial Plan.

Click on the Dates menu > Period.

Select the desired category, then select the periods you would like to display in the Financial Plan.

Click Apply. The Financial Plan calendar will update to display data in the set planning periods.
