Remove a User from the License Count (or, Remove a User's License)

  • Updated

This article explains how to remove a user from the license count for your organization, or how to remove a license from a user in OnePlan.

There are two methods to remove a user's license - by changing their Enterprise Security Group assignment, or by making the user Inactive.

Change the User's Security Group to Remove the License

  1. Go to the Resource Center.

  2. Select the resource you would like to remove from the license count. Click the Edit icon. The Edit Resource form will open.

  3. In the Edit Resource form, update the Group field to None, or to a Group that does not consume a license.

    Note

Users with their Group set to None are active and available for resource planning, but do not have access to OnePlan and do not have a license

  4. Click Save.

Mark the User as Inactive

  1. Go to the Resource Center.

  2. Select the resource you would like to remove from the license count. Click the Edit icon. The Edit Resource form will open.

  3. In the Edit Resource form, check the Inactive check box.

    Note

Marking a resource Inactive will remove that user from the license count for your organization. Inactive resources will not be visible in the Resource Center or available for resource planning. Typically resources are marked inactive when they leave the company.

  4. Click Save.
