This article explains how to assign cost categorization values to resources in the Resource Center so resource costs are automatically categorized when imported into the Financial Plan.

Assigning categorization in the Resource Center allows administrators to define default, organization‑wide cost classifications for resources.

Background

The Resource Center stores master data for resources in OnePlan.

When a Category Field is assigned to a resource in the Resource Center, that value acts as a default cost categorization. The categorization is retained as costs move from planning into the Financial Plan and are automatically categorized during import.

Use the Resource Center when a resource consistently belongs to the same cost category.


Instructions

Assign Cost Categorization to a Resource

  1. Go to the Resource Center.
  2. Select the resource you want to update.
  3. Open the resource details.
  4. Locate the designated Category Field. In this example, the Category Field is Cost Center.

Note
The Category Field will automatically appear in the Edit Resource form once configured.

  1. Select the appropriate categorization value.
  2. Save your changes.
