My Work - Update Work Item Status

This article explains how to update the status of your assigned work items directly from the My Work view in OnePlan. Keeping your work items up to date helps your project manager and team stay aligned and make informed decisions.

What you will accomplish
By the end of this article, you will be able to update the status of your assigned work items using the Quick Edit form in My Work.


Requirements

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A OnePlan account
  • Work items assigned to you in one or more Work Plans
  • Access to the My Work module

Background

My Work is your personal workspace in OnePlan. It shows all the work items assigned to you across different plans. You can update the status of your work items directly from this view using the Quick Edit form.

The Quick Edit form includes an Update Status section that groups all relevant status fields together. It also displays helpful context—such as assigned resources and dependencies—so you can provide accurate updates without needing to open the full Work Plan.


Instructions

  1. Go to the OnePlan app and select My Work from the left navigation.
  2. Locate the work item you want to update.
  3. Click the work item to open the Quick Edit form.
  4. Scroll to the Update Status section.
  5. Complete the relevant status fields (e.g., % Complete, Status, Accomplishments).
  6. Review any additional context such as assigned resources and dependencies.
  7. Click Save to submit your update.

Tip

Use the context provided in the form to understand who else is working on the item and whether any dependencies might affect your progress.
