Direct Answer: How to Create Plan-Level Notifications in OnePlan

To create a plan-level notification in OnePlan, build a Plan Automation and add a Send Notification action to it. The standalone Plan Notifications interface has been retired, so Plan Automations is now the only way to configure plan-level notifications. Open the Plan Automations editor from a Portfolio Area (for a notification that applies across plans) or from within an individual plan (for a notification that applies to that plan only), configure a trigger, then add a Send Notification action with your recipients, subject, and message.

Frequently Asked Questions: Plan-Level Notifications

Q: Where did the Notifications option in my plan go?

A: In OnePlan, the Plan Notifications interface has been retired. The Notifications icon within a plan and the Notifications option in a Portfolio Area’s ellipsis menu have been removed. Create plan-level notifications with a Plan Automation’s Send Notification action instead.

Q: Do I need to migrate the notifications I already created in the Plan Notifications interface?

A: In OnePlan, no. No action is required. The upgrade happens automatically, so there is no setup or migration work on your part — your existing plan-level notifications carry over to Plan Automations on their own. Going forward, create and edit them in the Plan Automations editor.

Q: Can Plan Automations do everything the Plan Notifications interface did?

A: In OnePlan, yes. A Plan Automation supports the same triggers, filters, recipient types, subject, fields sent, and message body, and it can also run additional actions beyond sending a notification. See How to Configure a Send Notification Action for Plan Automations in OnePlan.

Q: Did work plan notifications change the same way?

A: In OnePlan, yes, and they changed earlier. Work plan-level notifications are managed through Work Plan Automations. See How to Set Up Work Plan Notifications in OnePlan.
