Work Plans
Introducing enhanced work plan creation, seamless external dependencies, and custom row heights.
We've enhanced collaboration and streamlined task management with several new features in the Work Planner.
A notable addition allows tasks across different plans to be linked, ensuring that any schedule changes in a linked task prompt an alert to the related task's owner. Upon confirmation, their plan automatically updates to mirror these changes. This feature is accessible to users with Reader access or higher, enabling them to link tasks as predecessors, while those with Contributor access or above can link tasks as successors. An email notification will be sent out for any changes to linked tasks, keeping everyone's work in sync and improving response to project timeline shifts, thus enhancing project coordination.
Additionally, we've introduced a customizable row height feature in the work plan, allowing for a tailored view that improves readability and task management.
Further simplifying the user experience, navigating to a blank work plan schedule now presents direct options for creating a new work plan, eliminating the need for separate insert template actions and saving valuable time.

Timesheets
Streamlined time management and enhanced user experience.
Firstly, we've improved the readability of time entries by adopting a straightforward format ("1h 30m"), moving away from decimals for easier interpretation.
Editing has also been made more intuitive, allowing for quicker updates directly from the plan or task names for users with the right access.
The Approvals Detail Grid View has seen simplification by removing unnecessary elements and now includes a "Period" column for easy identification of start and finish dates.
Furthermore, we've introduced flexible deletion options in the toolbar, allowing users to delete selected or empty rows with ease.
Searching within a project has been refined to only display tasks related to the selected project, streamlining the search process.
Enhancements to the timesheet toolbar include text labels on buttons for clearer navigation, an organized grouping option, and a new "Expand All / Collapse All" button for convenience.
The timesheet entry quick edit window now places field values below their labels for a clearer view, and we've reformatted total hours and utilization displays for better visibility.
Task fields now adhere to format rules regarding background and text colors for consistency, and a new notes indicator visually signifies the addition of notes in a time entry, mirroring the familiar comment indicator in Excel.
These enhancements reflect our commitment to improving navigation and data management on our platform, ensuring that tasks and projects are managed more efficiently and intuitively.

You can now reorder custom cost categories with ease. In the contextual menu (hamburger) for each custom cost category, you’ll find "Move Up" and "Move Down" options. Selecting "Move Up" will shift the category up one row, while "Move Down" will move it down one row. This change will affect the ordering across all cost types, not just the current one.
This simplifies the organization of cost categories, making it easier to manage and view them according to your preferences.
Admin Pages
Optimize your workflow with the new bulk archiving feature.
Streamline plan management with the new bulk archiving feature. A button on the Plan Cleanup page now allows you to archive multiple plans at once.
This feature enhances efficiency by reducing manual effort and saving time.
Updated log in experience provides streamlined access and smarter sign-In redirection.
When logging into OnePlan, users will now see "Sign in with Microsoft" as the first option, with the option to create or sign in with a OnePlan Forms account following it. This adjustment streamlines the login process by prioritizing Microsoft login for quicker access while still providing the alternative for those preferring the OnePlan Forms account.
Moreover, when users log back in after signing out, they'll be taken directly to the same OnePlan environment they were using before, instead of being sent to the default my.oneplan.ai. This makes the transition smoother and quicker, improving the overall user experience by keeping them in their last-used environment.

Microsoft Planner Integration
Optimize your project management experience with advanced customization and seamless data synchronization.
This release brings a series of valuable improvements to our integration with Microsoft Planner. These updates are designed to enhance productivity, providing users with efficient, streamlined planning experiences.
In the past, a new public Office 365 group was created each time you created a plan in OnePlan to implement in Planner. With the updated integration, users now have the ability to select an existing Office 365 group when embarking on a new plan in Microsoft Planner. This practical enhancement removes the need for multiple new groups, which promotes organization.
We have also improved privacy settings. Now, while creating a new plan within OnePlan, users have the flexibility to specify the privacy level (private or public) of the Microsoft Planner plan, providing greater control and security over their projects.
Additionally, we have introduced an option to connect existing plans in Microsoft Planner with OnePlan plans. This new feature encourages the seamless alignment and management of your various projects. Even better, after such connection, data between Microsoft Planner and OnePlan can now be synchronized bi-directionally, ensuring every change made is reflected across both platforms.
We've also made fields mapped for bi-directional synchronization in OnePlan editable, further improving the flexibility and convenience of managing your data.
Finally, we've added suffix support for group names. Now, users can specify a suffix value when creating new Office 365 groups for plans in Planner, which is compatible with group Naming Policies within Entra. This provides users with more options for customizing and organizing their projects in a manner that suits their needs.
Azure DevOps Integration
Boost your project management efficiency with automated sprint additions and accurate user matching with UPN support.
We have made several enhancements to our integration with Azure DevOps, designed to automate processes and streamline user experience.
Our first major enhancement involves the Automatic Sprint Addition feature. If the iteration field is mapped, sprints will now automatically be added from Azure DevOps to OnePlan. This prevents the need for manual entry, saving valuable time and reducing potential for errors.
Next, we have incorporated User Principal Name (UPN) support. Variances can occur between the email address used in Azure DevOps and the primary email address of a user in Microsoft Entra ID. To address this, we've added support to use the User Principal Name (UPN) field from Microsoft Entra ID to match users between OnePlan and Azure DevOps. This update fosters synchronization between the two platforms and ensures accurate user matching even when discrepancies arise in email addresses.
Power Automate Connector
The updated OnePlan Power Automate connector enhances efficiency with instant alerts and quick resource identification actions.
OnePlan is pleased to announce the addition of a new trigger and several new actions to its Power Automate connector, aiming to enhance the user experience and simplify project management processes.
The newly added trigger is designed to fire whenever new plans are introduced to OnePlan. This real-time alert system ensures you are always updated about any new additions, enabling you to manage your tasks more effectively.
As for the new actions, they offer a range of capabilities that simplify and streamline specific processes within OnePlan. The 'Create a New Plan' function allows users to easily initiate and set up new projects directly in the system. It takes away the hassle and saves time, promoting efficiency.
The 'Add/Update Integration to Plan' function provides the facility to add or update plan integration information. This flexibility offers better control over your integrated plans and keeps them up-to-date.
The 'Lookup Resource Id' and 'Get Resource By Id' functions are designed to simplify resource identification processes. 'Lookup Resource Id' function retrieves a Resource Id using Email and Name, while the 'Get Resource By Id' delivers custom and built-in resource fields by Resource Id. Both functions will enable you to quickly locate and refer to resources, enhancing productivity.
The 'Get Plan Type Id' function returns the Plan Type Id by Plan Type Name, making it easier for you to locate and reference specific plans. Similarly, the 'Get Plan Id by Integration Information' function retrieves the Plan Id of the integrated plan based on Flow ID and external Item Id. This takes away the guesswork and streamlines your workflow for higher efficiency.
