Work Plan Automations - Configure a When a Field Changes Trigger

Purpose

This article explains how to configure the When a field changes trigger for OnePlan Work Plan Automations.
The When a field changes trigger will launch the automation once the value of the selected work filed changes.

Configure the When a Field Changes Trigger

  1. Click the Trigger button within the automation flow. This will open the Edit Trigger panel on the right of the screen.

    1. Select the Scope of the automation. Options here will depend on your Global permissions. Options include:
    • This Plan (End user and admins) =The automation applies only to the plan listed in the Plan Name field.

    • All Plans (Admins only) = The automation applies to all plans of the selected Plan Types.

  3. Choose the Work Types (e.g., Task, Risk) that will activate the automation when a new work item is created.
  4. Select the When a field changes trigger. The automation will trigger when a value in the selected field changes.
    • The Field field will appear at the bottom of the form. Select the field you would like to use for the automation trigger.
    • Once you select a field, the Changes to field appears. Set the value to trigger the automation. Or check the Any Value check box, which will trigger the automation when the selected field value changes at all.
  5. Click Update to apply your changes to the automation.
