The Resource Plan is used to plan and forecast resource costs at the plan level.

When a Category Field is assigned to a resource in the Resource Plan, that value is retained when costs are imported into the Financial Plan and used to automatically categorize costs.

Use the Resource Plan when a resource’s cost category varies by plan or scenario.


Instructions

Assign Cost Categorization in a Resource Plan

  1. Open the plan and go to the Resource Plan.
  2. Add the Category Field column into the view. In this example, the Category Field is Cost Center.
  3. Locate the resource you want to categorize.
  4. Select the appropriate categorization value.
