This article explains how team members can update the status of their assigned work items in OnePlan. Keeping your work items up to date helps your project manager and team stay aligned and make informed decisions.
What you will accomplish
By the end of this article, you will be able to update the status of your assigned work items using My Work, Timesheets, or the Status Update form.
Requirements
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A OnePlan account
- Work items assigned to you in one or more Work Plans

Background
As a team member, you’re responsible for keeping your assigned work items up to date. OnePlan provides multiple ways to update status, depending on how you prefer to work:
- From the My Work view
- While logging time in Timesheets
- Using the Status Update form sent via email or system notification
Each method uses the same Quick Edit form, which includes an Update Status section. This section groups all relevant status fields together and provides helpful context—like assigned resources and dependencies—so you can submit accurate updates with confidence.
