Direct Answer: Setting a Plan-Level Status Report Schedule

To set a plan-level status report schedule in OnePlan, open the status report for the plan, select the vertical ellipsis () menu, then select Schedule Configuration. In the Schedule Configuration window, choose a Schedule Type — DefaultOffWeeklyMonthly, or Periodic — to override the Plan Type-level schedule for this plan only.

What This Article Covers: Status Reports

This article explains how a plan manager can override the global, Plan Type-level status report schedule for an individual plan.

What you will accomplish
After reading this article, you will be able to open Schedule Configuration for a plan and set or clear a plan-specific status report schedule.

Before You Begin: Status Reports

Why This Matters: Status Reports

Not every plan fits the same reporting cadence as the rest of its Plan Type. A plan-level schedule override lets a plan manager set a cadence — or turn scheduled reporting off entirely — that fits how that specific plan is actually run, without affecting the schedule used by every other plan of that type.

Step-by-Step: Setting a Plan-Level Status Report Schedule in OnePlan

Task: Open Schedule Configuration

  1. Open the status report for the plan.
  2. Select the vertical ellipsis () menu near the top of the report.
  3. Select Schedule Configuration.

The Schedule Configuration window opens, showing a banner that indicates whether the plan is currently using the Global Status Report schedule configured for its Plan Type, or a Plan-Level Status Report schedule override.

Task: Choose a Schedule Type

Select a Schedule Type:

  • Default — Use the Plan Type-level schedule configured by your administrator. No plan-specific fields are shown.
  • Off — Turn off status report scheduling for this plan entirely. This disables both scheduled and manual (off-cycle) status reports for the plan. OnePlan shows a confirmation prompt — "Turning off Status Report scheduling will disable both scheduled and manual Status Reports for this plan. Are you sure you want to continue?" — before applying this setting.
  • Weekly — Set a custom weekly schedule for this plan, independent of the Plan Type schedule.
  • Monthly — Set a custom monthly schedule for this plan.
  • Periodic — Set an irregular reporting interval for this plan by specifying a Start On date and how often the report should repeat.

Task: Configure the Custom Schedule

If you selected Weekly or Monthly, additional fields appear:

  • Day of Week (or day of month for Monthly) — The day the report generates.
  • Time of Day — The time the report generates.
  • Next Run — A read-only field showing the date and time the next report will generate based on your settings.

If you selected Periodic, a different set of fields appears, for setting an irregular reporting interval:

  • Start On — The date the recurring interval begins.
  • Every # Days — How many days should pass between each report.
  • Time of Day — The time the report generates.
  • Next Run — A read-only field showing the date and time the next report will generate. This shows Never until Every # Days is filled in.

Task: Save or Cancel

Select Save to apply the plan-level schedule, or Cancel to close the window without making changes.

Once saved, the banner at the top of Schedule Configuration updates to show this plan is using a Plan-Level Status Report schedule override instead of the global schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions: Status Reports

Q: Does changing my plan's schedule affect other plans of the same Plan Type?
A: No. In OnePlan, a plan-level schedule override configured through Schedule Configuration applies only to that individual plan. Other plans of the same Plan Type continue to follow the global schedule unless they have their own override.

Q: Why don't I see a Schedule Configuration option on my status report?
A: In OnePlan, the Schedule Configuration option only appears if your administrator has enabled Allow Plan-Level Status Report Scheduling for your Plan Type. Contact your administrator if you don't see this option.

Q: How do I go back to using the global schedule after setting an override?
A: In OnePlan, open Schedule Configuration for the plan and set Schedule Type back to Default, then select Save.

Q: Can I still create a status report ahead of schedule if I have a plan-level schedule set?
A: In OnePlan, setting a WeeklyMonthly, or Periodic override only changes when the report generates automatically — it does not disable manual report creation if your administrator has enabled Allow Manual Status Report Creation. Setting Schedule Type to Off is the exception: it disables both scheduled and manual (ahead-of-schedule) status reports for that plan.

Q: What happens if I set Schedule Type to Off?
A: In OnePlan, setting Schedule Type to Off disables both scheduled and manual (off-cycle) status reports for that plan. OnePlan asks you to confirm this choice before applying it, since it turns off reporting for the plan entirely.
