New! Built-in Dashboards

Summary: OnePlan now allows you to create your own configurable dashboards—bringing real-time reporting directly into OnePlan without the need for a third-party reporting tool.

Improved Navigation User Experience

Summary: We've updated the OnePlan global navigation bar with a refreshed look and enhanced customization options for administrators.

  • Updated Look & Feel: A more modern and intuitive navigation experience.
  • Drag-and-Drop Configuration: Administrators can now reorder links directly from the navigation bar using the "Setup" option.
  • Simplified Plan Type Hierarchy Setup: Editing area settings is now more intuitive, and with the new filters enabled, you can easily add associated plan types to your hierarchy or portfolio.
  • Easier Area Management: Admins can create and manage solution areas without needing to access backend configuration pages.
  • Updated Plan Types Configuration: The Areas section has been removed from the Plan Types tab in General Settings, and a banner now directs users to configure areas from the Global Navigation.
  • Help Guide Relocation: The in-line help guide has moved from the global navigation to the "?" menu in the top right for streamlined access.

Portfolio Plan

Summary: Gain targeted insights with hierarchical filtering, enjoy seamless navigation with persistent views, and make faster, data-driven decisions with auto-calculated totals.

  • Hierarchical Filtering: Apply filters at each level of your hierarchy. For example, view only the portfolios you manage while displaying active programs and projects under those portfolios.  The new filters are available now as an opt-in feature for those who haven't enabled them yet.  These enhanced filters will be activated for all OnePlan customers in the June 2025 release.  You can find more info here: Enable Advanced Portfolio Filtering
  • Persistent Portfolio Tab & View: OnePlan now remembers the last portfolio tab and view for each user by area, ensuring a seamless experience by returning you to where you left off.
  • Totals for Grouping & Hierarchies: Number and currency fields set to summarize (sum, average) now auto-calculate in grouped views, with hierarchy totals appearing only when child plans are expanded.

Work Plan

Summary: Streamline workflows with printable plans, configurable work types, improved resource management, and clearer communication for better project control.

  • Print: You can now print your Work Plan, including the Gantt chart, for easy sharing and documentation.
  • Configure Work Types by Plan Type: Define which work types are available for each plan type to streamline workflows and improve organization.
  • Manage Work Types in the Work Plan: Administrators can now add, edit, and configure work types directly from the Work Plan, including using the new Plan Type Selector.
  • Select Work Types for Your Plan: Plan owners can now choose which work types to use and hide those that aren’t needed, ensuring a more streamlined work plan.
  • New Column Manager: The updated Column Manager makes it easier to find and add columns, while admins can create enterprise fields and plan managers can create local plan fields directly from the Work Plan.
  • Status Update Comments: Plan managers can now add comments when approving or rejecting status updates on work items, providing clear feedback to help resources understand and address requirements effectively.
  • Email Notifications for Status Rejections: Plan managers can now trigger an email notification when rejecting a status update, ensuring resources are informed and can take corrective action promptly.
  • Enhanced Resource Replacement: When replacing resources on a task, their activity assignments are now updated automatically for seamless reassignment.
  • Inactive Work Items Excluded from Resource Plan: When a task is marked as inactive, its effort hours will no longer be counted in the Resource Plan.

 

My Work

Summary: Quickly configure your view with the enhanced Column Manager, making it easier to access the data that matters most.

OData Feed

Summary: Improved team visibility, structured team data, and clearer multi-choice work fields for better analytics.

  • New Team Visibility: The OData feed now includes data on which plans a team has been shared with, enabling better reporting and analytics.
  • Updated Teams Table: Added a new "UserType" field:
    • "Resource" for individual resources
    • "Team" for teams
  • New Tables for Teams Data:
    • Enterprise Teams: Stores team-related fields, including Id and Name.
    • Enterprise Team Members: Tracks team membership, including "TeamId" and "UserId", ensuring all users from all teams are included.
  • Improved Multi-Choice Work Fields in OData: Multi-choice work fields in the OData Tasks table now display actual values instead of GUIDs, with multiple selections shown as a comma-delimited string in a new backendname_value field.

New! Microsoft SQL Server Integration

Summary: New data import capabilities allow for better synchronization between SQL Server and OnePlan. This integration will simulate existing Tabular Data integrations in terms of functionality and usability.

Planner Premium Integration

Summary: Enhancements to OneConnect’s integration with Planner Premium (formerly known as Project for the Web) to align with Microsoft updates and improve functionality.

Azure DevOps Integration

Summary: Support for multi-choice fields & enhanced area path support.

  • Multi-Choice Field Synchronization: OneConnect now syncs plan and work plan-level multi-choice fields between Azure DevOps and OnePlan for improved consistency.
    • Azure DevOps has the Multivalue Control extension (by Microsoft DevLabs) that allows for multiple choices to be set for the appropriate choice/picklist field.
  • Expanded Area Path Support: Azure DevOps area path levels 1 to 7 are now supported at the work plan level, this field is intended to only go into OnePlan.

 

Jira Integration

Summary: Improved processing speeds for Jira integrations.

  • Faster Processing Speeds: We have optimized your Jira integrations to load only the necessary data, significantly improving processing times - especially for large data sets.

 

Tabular Data and SharePoint Integrations

Summary: Updated permissions when connecting to SharePoint using service principals.

  • Reduced Permissions: Now only the Sites.Selected permissions is required when connecting to SharePoint using service principals.

SharePoint Add-In authentication will be retiring on April 2, 2026. As a result, all integrations that involve SharePoint Online (and by extension Tabular Data) should now begin transitioning their authentication to SharePoint to use a Microsoft Entra service principal.

OneConnect Administration Portal

Summary: We've introduced several updates to enhance usability and efficiency within the OneConnect Administration Portal.

  • Sofia AI Assistant: Sofia, OnePlan’s AI assistant, is now available to help with configuration and installation queries.
  • Updated Log Retention: The system now retains up to 200 runs for scheduled jobs and maintains event logs for 30 days.
  • Detailed Job Logs: Previously, scheduled job logs only displayed the start and end times for the Plan Id. Now, you have the option to view detailed logs of each item, improving visibility and troubleshooting.
  • Export Job Logs: You can now export strategy logs to CSV for further analysis. Exporting logs to CSV is available per single strategy, bulk export is currently not available.
